Morgan Campbell

Morgan Campbell is a strength and conditioning coach with a focus on high performance training.

Morgan holds an MSc. in Strength & Conditioning from St Mary’s University and a BSc. in Kinesiology from the University of Prince Edward Island.

Since starting his career as a strength and conditioning coach in 2012, Morgan has worked with a wide variety of athletes in sports such as Luge to Professional Rugby. Most recently, Morgan worked with the Florida Panthers organization during their 2022-2024 seasons.

From Question to Insight Analyzing Sport Science Problems

Matthew Warburton

Matthew Warburton is a seasoned product leader and sports science consultant with over a decade of experience at the intersection of elite sport, performance technology, and athlete development. He currently serves as a Product Manager at the U.S. Soccer Federation, where he leads key initiatives focused on unifying data from across U.S. Soccer’s 4.2 million registered players, coaches, and referees. His work supports the federation’s long-term vision by enabling a centralized data infrastructure to drive learning, engagement, and performance across all levels of the game.

Alongside his work in product, Matthew teaches as a Sessional Instructor at Dalhousie University, leading courses in applied sports science and supervising student-led research projects embedded within varsity athletics. His teaching bridges the gap between theory and practice, incorporating tools like R, Power BI, and force plates to support athlete monitoring and evidence-based decision-making.

Matthew also works as a Sports Science Consultant with the Toronto Maple Leafs, supporting data infrastructure and performance analysis across their player monitoring ecosystem. He previously led product development at 3MotionAI, spearheading advanced biomechanics capture solutions used by MLB organizations such as the Los Angeles Dodgers and Texas Rangers.

His earlier career includes key roles at Movella/Xsens and Kinduct, where he supported professional teams across the NFL, NBA, NHL, and NCAA with performance data integrations, software deployments, and athlete management systems.

Whether building products, supporting athletes, or mentoring the next generation of sport scientists, Matthew brings a deep understanding of how to translate complex data into actionable performance insights. He holds a passion for bridging the worlds of sport and technology to help teams, athletes, and organizations thrive.

Mastering the Clean: Teaching Olympic Weightlifting for Sports Performance

John Paul Primeau

John-Paul Primeau is a dedicated Olympic weightlifting coach and competitive athlete with seven years of experience in the sport. With a strong foundation in both personal competition and coaching, he specializes in bridging the gap between weightlifting expertise and sports performance.

As an active member of Weightlifting Nova Scotia, John-Paul has worked with athletes across various levels, helping them develop strength, power, and technical proficiency in the snatch and clean and jerk. His coaching philosophy emphasizes practical, science-backed methods tailored to athletes of all backgrounds, from youth development to high-performance training.

Passionate about making Olympic weightlifting accessible and effective for sports performance, John-Paul integrates his firsthand experience with innovative coaching strategies to enhance athletic potential in any training environment.”

Unlocking Potential: My Global Coaching Journey

Andrew Kacsor

Andrew Kacsor got his start in 2013 working for Matt Nichol, Founder of Paragenix Systems & Biosteel Sports. In 2019, Andrew moved to China to work as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the KRS Vanke Rays, winning their first championship in team history. Andrew has also worked in Russia serving as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the KHL as well as served as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Iowa Wild in the AHL.

Currently, Andrew is the Director of Strength & Conditioning for the Chinese Ice Hockey Association, where he oversees all aspects of Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science, and Nutrition for the Chinese Men’s National Team.

Long Term Athlete Monitoring: Learnings and Questions

Scott Willgress

Scott Willgress has a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Calgary (2010). Since moving to Nova Scotia in 2011, Scott has worked with hundreds of provincial, national, and professional athletes. Scott was a member of Team Nova Scotia as the Physiologist / Strength Coach for the 2011, 2013 and 2015 Canada Games. As an S&C coach, Scott has helped prepare athletes for 5 Olympic Games in sports such as Gymnastics, Sprint Canoe/Kayak, Hockey, Sailing, Boxing, and Softball. As part of Softball Canada’s Integrated Support Team, Scott attended the 2019 Pan-American Games and the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games, where the team came home with a Bronze Medal. Scott most recently helped prepare athletes with Canoe Kayak Canada’s Sprint program, and Gymnastics Canada’s Women’s Artistic program for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Scott also maintains leadership roles in Strength and Conditioning at the Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic, as well as with Own the Podium’s High Performance Advisory Council.
