Canadian Strength and Conditioning Professional Level 1
The Certified Strength and Conditioning Professional (CSCP) Level 1 designation recognizes a strength and conditioning coach who is typically within their first five years of professional practice and is developing a strong foundation of applied knowledge and coaching competence. Coaches at this level are focused on refining their hands-on coaching skills, gaining practical experience, and building confidence in the delivery of safe and effective strength and conditioning programs.
To achieve the CSCP Level 1 designation, candidates must have met the minimum knowledge requirements set forth below. This certification signifies that the coach has demonstrated foundational theoretical knowledge and practical competencies necessary to begin independent practice while continuing to develop under professional standards.
Requirements
All applications and competency paperwork must be submitted by a CSCA Approved Mentor. Approved Mentor Coaches by Province can be found through the list below. A full description of the mentorship can be found in the Mentorship Guide. The Competency Review Framework is to be completed by both the Mentee and Mentor Coach for submission to the CSCA.
